Yoroi - A Japanese traditional craft with the spirits of samurai
Yoroi is Japanese armor which samurai warriors wore to protect their body in a battleground in the old days.

Nowadays Japanese people buy yoroi when being blessed with a child (especially baby-boy) in their family and display it in their house in May (There is a seasonal festival for boys) hoping their child to grow strong and brave enough like a leader of samurais.

Yoroi is believed to bring fortune. On the other hand it is also believed to protect people from evils. So some people display yoroi in an entrance hall of a building so that it let fortune come in and keep evils out.

On one hand Japan has been highly industrialized and one of the leading countries in technology today; on the other hand Japan has treasured its original culture, arts and crafts. Both sides of Japan have achieved by passing down a kind of the Japanese spirit, diligence and delicacy, through the generations.
The yoroi we sell is made by artisans who also have that spirit.
Once you have one, you must appreciate the beauty and art of yoroi and share the Japanese spirit with us.
